With the 4th Industrial Revolution underway, the age of affordable robotics automation is upon us and increasingly available to businesses of all sizes and shapes. Companies are turning to robots as a way to increase productivity, achieve new functionalities, reduce costs, and compensate for labor and skills shortages. Robots are becoming more affordable, easy to operate, flexible, and collaborative – some able to work safely alongside humans. Advanced Robotics Systems are becoming integral components in the design and manufacturing of systems as cyber physical systems communicate and cooperate with each other and with humans, contributing to and benefiting from the Smart Manufacturing approaches that are being developed today for the manufacturing industry.  These multi-purpose platforms can perform a wide and increasing array of tasks allowing businesses to gain cost savings and competitive advantages.

Join the Industry and Technology leaders of the NYS Advanced Robotics Alliance (NYS-ARA) for an introductory and interest group meeting on October 22 & 23, 2018 in Syracuse NY to learn more about Advanced Robotics, its implications for your business and how you can take part in shaping the NYS manufacturing roadmap for applications, needs and challenges. NYS-ARA is aligned with the federally-funded Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM) Institute and its mid-Atlantic Regional Robotics Innovation Collaborative (RRIC). ARM has multiple project calls each year on technology development and workforce development. A key goal for NYS-ARA is to build partnerships to shape and respond to these project calls.
