ESARA Working Group Spring Meeting

The Empire State Advanced Robotics Alliance (ESARA) will meet on April 30th, in conjunction with the New York Manufacturing Conference at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. 


4:00 pm:
VIP facility tour of RPI's Center for Automation Technologies and Systems (optional, meet in the Low Center for Industrial Automation lobby)
6:00 pm:
Convene at the Hilton Garden, Roebling Library

ESARA Meeting Introduction (Dr. John Wen)
7:15 pm:
Project Funding for Small Manufacturers (Glenn Saunders, Beth Bornick)
7:30 pm: 
The Lean Perspective on Implementing Robotics
Case Study:  Inspection of titanium metal injection molded parts - Jobe Piemme from Praxis Technology in Queensbury and Tom Bell from the Center for Economic Growth in Albany will discuss how Lean Value Stream Mapping helped them identify and prioritize opportunities for implementing robotic systems.

The Empire State Advanced Robotics Alliance (ESARA) seeks to build a strong, well-connected robotics ecosystem in New York State. ESARA includes university researchers, robotics hardware and software suppliers, systems integrators and consultants, workforce and economic development organizations, and manufacturers who use or want to deploy robotics.
