On Tuesday, November 9th, Clarkson University will be hosting a Technology Showcase and Competition to highlight some of the most exciting commercialization projects being pursued by our Faculty & Alumni. This event will take place at the Turning Stone Casino and Resort in Verona, NY, from 4pm-7pm, following the FuzeHub Commercialization Competition (part of the New York State Innovation Summit). More than $60,000 will be awarded to help these exciting projects continue down their path towards commercialization. We also hope that valuable networking connections can be made between our Faculty & Alumni inventors and those guests in attendance.
We hope that you will consider joining us for this exciting event! This event is free to all, and we hope that you will share this invite with other colleagues within our innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. Registration is required and can be completed by clicking here, or on the RSVP link on the attached invitation.
Up to 10 Faculty and Alumni will be invited to pitch, and we will announce the final roster of presenters on 10/29/2021. Each pitch will consist of 5-minutes describing the problem, solution, and market; 5-minutes describing how any awarded funds would be used to advance the commercialization opportunity; and 5-minutes of Q&A.
A block of rooms has been reserved for Tuesday night. If you are able to attend and wish to spend the night at Turning Stone, please request a room from the Clarkson block of rooms at Turning Stone. Reservations can be made by calling 1-800-771-7711. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served, along with a variety of adult and non-alcoholic beverages.
The event schedule is as follows:
4:00pm – 5:30pm – Faculty & Alumni Pitches
5:30pm – 6:45pm – Networking (each project will provide a table for continued Q&A) and judge deliberation
6:45pm – 7:00pm – Awards
