This fall, the first ever Hudson Valley Tech Festival will be held during Columbus Day weekend, October 11th & 12th, 2019 in the City of Newburgh. Founded by Open Hub, Hudson Valley’s premier tech education program and partnering with CreativesMX, the creative economy ignitor, the two-day event promises to be a major conference in the region’s burgeoning tech space.
Hudson Valley Tech Festival will bring together tech professionals, entrepreneurs, government and community leaders to discuss strategies for technology oriented economic development in the Mid-Hudson Valley. In a conference-like setting, day one will explore the industry’s current landscape, tech workforce development and latest developments in open data, cybersecurity, machine learning and the Internet of Things. Leading industries such as education, healthcare and creativity will be highlighted. Regional developers will tackle some of the Hudson Valley’s specific challenges in a live, collaborative programming event (hackathon) on day two.
Day One conference will be held at SUNY Orange, Newburgh campus, and the Day Two Hackathon will welcome all tech developers at Mount Saint Mary College, Newburgh, NY.
