Aqua Vectors' mission is to provide innovative methods for getting pernicious pollutants out of our water supply, deploying cutting-edge science in simple and inexpensive equipment. The current iteration targets nitrates, for which we have patented process that (once in the market) will cost less, do more, and be easier to operate than today's "best practices". Our goal for 2020-2021 is to optimize the process and execute our comprehensive commercialization plan with our deep bench of experienced professionals.
CathBuddy, Inc. is a urinary catheter start-up that is improving the standard of care and reducing UTI incidence for the 1.1 million Americans who use intermittent catheters to manage neurogenic bladder. We're doing this by developing a reusable intermittent catheter system that will disrupt a market that only seen incremental innovation over the last 40 years - the single-use intermittent catheter market. Our system consists of: a reusable, RFID-tagged intermittent catheter; a removable, modular catheter insertion and lubrication aid; and a patent-pending at-home sterilizer. By bringing this system to market through a possible 510(k) pathway, we will reduce healthcare costs by hundred of millions of dollars a year and single-use catheter associated environmental waste by 99%. We'll grow the intermittent catheter market to $2.6 billion annually by reducing non-compliant usage of intermittent catheters. After market launch, we will continue to develop our system through the addition of digital services like teleurology and EHR integration, before finally developing smart, sensor-equipped catheters (that would be inconceivable as single-use products) that help deliver personalized healthcare to intermittent catheter users. CathBuddy, Inc. was founded by Souvik Paul, a Harvard-educated industrial designer with years of experience working in consumer medical devices at Johnson & Johnson. He started the company after his girlfriend's sister sustained a spinal cord injury in a car accident and became reliant on intermittent catheters in order to urinate.

Vision: Enabling people of any means or ability to traverse the canals of Venice, Italy, this afternoon and explore the great wall of china this evening all without leaving their living room. Description: Circle Optics has created the world's first parallax-free 360-degree camera. Our revolutionary camera system solves the problem of stitching once and for all, instantly capturing a perfect 360-degree representation of any scene. The virtual reality, security, mapping, and robotics industries are all currently limited by their dependence on stitching. Stitching is the process of putting together multiple images pixel by pixel to try and create one big image. Current solutions create extraneous data from overlapping fields of view, require significant additional time and money in post- processing, and still produce an imperfect scene with obvious seams and holes.
Combined Energies (CE) is focused on the design, production, and sales of specialty power electronics for renewable power generation, energy storage, and electric vehicle applications currently estimated by CE to be a $5.6 billion market. Combined Energies’ patented DC to DC converter designs provide improved functionality, higher efficiency, smaller footprint, and lower cost than available alternatives.
Efferent Labs® is a preclinical stage medical technology company focused on implantable biosensors. Our CytoCommTM Biosensor Platform is designed to serve as a real-time monitoring system, using living cells to assess cellular function in vivo. Our system is built to transmit live data through the cloud to our data acquisition and analysis software, providing real-time information to researchers and clinicians. The CytoCommTM Biosensor Platform has multiple applications including preclinical R&D, clinical testing, oncology, cardiology, inflammatory and metabolic diseases.
ElectroskipTM is an innovative medical device for walking disabilities associated with Parkinson’s, CP, MS, lower limb loss, stroke paralysis, and other movement disorders. A wearable footwear device originally designed to meet the performance needs of live dance performers, ElectroskipTM patented technology consists of sensors and transmitters that send a wireless signal to a tablet computer. When you step, ElectroskipTM makes an instantaneous sound and gait data can be captured and analyzed. Current gait diagnostic systems are expensive and cumbersome, whereas ElectroskipTM provides the most relevant gait analytics to Physical Therapists in a wearable device, at an 80% cost savings. Through our expanding clinical collaborations, we believe ElectroskipTM will become the new standard of care for wearable gait analytics, while offering a proprietary therapy that adapts audio biofeedback to the patient’s walk cadence.
Fabbro Industries, LLC is a motorcycle R&D firm specializing in small production, high-quality manufacturing of motorcycles and motorcycle parts. The company was founded by Terence Musto in 2013 as a motorcycle shop specializing in handmade parts and customized bikes. After realizing a need to improve the rider experience, the goal became to harvest innovative ideas and create industry- changing products for today’s motorcyclists. Fabbro first focused on redesigning the core foundation of every motorcycle – the frame. The company aims to bring to market the first integrated motorcycle rear wheel suspension system with its patented flagship product – the Type 57xTM. This frame caters specifically to the needs of the changing American motorcycle industry; those who want a nostalgic look, but also the convenience of today’s modern suspension components. It also encourages the use of emerging hyrbrid/EV technologies. Fabbro products are rooted in soul and crafted with excellence in New York.
The current rowing world utilizes ill fitted unhygenic shoes that offer no competitive advantage. We have developed a US Patented shoe cleat system that is performance enhancing, custom designed shoe, delivering a competitive advantage. We have validated both our customers and our potential markets. We will sell some 60,000 units annually with a potential reach of 5,000,000 units.
Halomine Inc. is developing antimicrobial products to tackle pathogens that are disrupting our food supply and healthcare settings.
At Heat Inverse our mission is to revolutionize cooling technologies, and profitably reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than a GT of CO2eq emissions at full deployment. Our thin-films passively cool applications that lose efficiency when heated. Our beachhead market is the refrigerated long-haul trucking industry where Heat Inverse provides a 25-80% increase in fuel efficiency for refrigeration via application of the thin-film to the outside of refrigerated truck trailers. With estimated 73% gross margins, we expect to self-fund quickly. But refrigerated trucking is just the tip of the iceberg. After we nail down our beachhead market, we plan to quickly follow on in other verticals where we are experiencing early pull like building materials, electronics, and solar photovoltaics.
The vision for InSitu Composites, LLC is to disrupt pricing and lead time of materials used to make advanced thermoplastic composites. It has developed desktop-size production equipment to make carbon fiber impregnated with thermoplastic resin in narrow tape and filament form. These materials, used for additive manufacturing and automated fiber placement of advanced composite parts for a range of industries (e.g., aerospace, automotive, sport/leisure), are made by InSitu for 10% the cost of conventional processes with the same quality and shorter lead time.
Headquartered in Rochester, New York, Molecular Glasses has created a new class of Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) materials. OLEDs are broadly used in cell phone displays and are beginning to penetrate larger format display applications including tablets, computers, televisions, and automotive (both display and lighting). Molecular Glasses is poised to capture a meaningful share of the rapidly growing OLED materials market via the introduction of OLEDIQTM, the company’s patented, novel class of OLED materials.

OPTIMED TECHNOLOGY, INC's mission is to promote clinical translation of fundamental lab research into human clinical treatments that will reduce pain and suffering, enhance quality of life and improve human health.
Phase Innovations is developing advanced systems for heating and cooling. Our first product, PureAtmos, is designed to enable homeowners to introduce filtered fresh air into a tightly sealed home during cold or hot weather with minimal energy loss. PureAtmos is window mounted and can be installed in minutes by the resident. Stand-alone air purifiers attempt to remove pollutants but do not exchange unwanted interior gases for fresh air. For most people, permanent solutions such as whole house ventilation systems are prohibitively expensive. The PureAtmos system offers homeowners fresh, pure, filtered air, year-round unlike recirculating air purification systems. In addition to this product, Phase Innovations is also developing an advanced commercial dehumidification system that is refrigerant free and is highly efficient through NYSERDA's Next Generation HVAC Program.
Re-Nuble uniquely transforms food waste into plant-based technologies for both soil-based and hydroponic cultivation. The company is focused on the commercialization of technologies that optimize plant productivity and nutrient density. Re-Nuble manufactures plant-based agricultural technologies from unrecoverable produce waste supplied by urban wholesale produce distributors and food processors. Unlike our competitors, we optimize the nutrients from vegetative waste using less space and money and within very close proximity to food waste generators, significantly reducing their costs and hauling. Our pelletized fertilizer is cheaper in total usage than its synthetic, mineral salt counter-part, enabling hydroponic farms to transition to an organic nutrient source that is substantially cheaper to ship, store, and use than competing organic liquid fertilizers.
SmartKeg is a tech startup aimed at bringing a new keg tapping technology to market. Beginning as the brainchild of engineers in their 20s, the product is a tap that completely replaces the traditional beer keg hand pump - without needing CO2! The device screws onto a keg like a regular tap, but all you need to do is turn it on and the beer is automatically ready to be served for the rest of the party. Including a USB rechargeable battery, and a companion app that allows you to set the pressure or view how much is left in the keg over Bluetooth, the SmartKeg brings beer into the 21st century. The company now has the product patented and a prototype built. We have a roadmap to an initial manufacturing run of the product, and a business plan focused on sustainable profitability. Our main bottleneck at the moment is funding to begin injection molding and compliance testing. With that, we hope to work towards a "soft launch" of 100-1000 units in Spring 2020.

- FuzeHub will hold a New York State Commercialization Competition on November 18 & 19, 2019. Finalists will compete in person to demonstrate the commercialization potential of their technology and win up to $150,000.
- Award funds must be used to further develop a working prototype which will enable the applicant to pursue additional investment and customers, leading to the commercialization of their product.
- Up to $400,000 in award money is available, and FuzeHub anticipates making at least six awards of up to $50,000 each; one company has the chance to win an additional $100,000 for a grand prize of $150,000.
