Build4Scale Workshop

On January 29, FuzeHub held its first Product Manufacturing 101 Workshop of the year in the Hudson Valley region. The workshop content, based on the training modules from the Department of Energy’s Build4Scale curriculum, instructs start-up and early stage hardware companies on manufacturing principles crucial to optimizing product design for manufacturability and preparing for scale-up.
Over 40 attendees participated in the workshop and hands-on exercises, with mentors from FuzeHub, the Manufacturing and Technology Enterprise Center (MTEC), the Global Center for Social Entrepreneurship Network (GCSEN), and Fala Technologies providing expert advice. The forum also allowed for great networking opportunities between attendees and solutions providers.
What did participants like most about the event?

“The information was presented in a way that was accessible to those of us without an engineering degree.”

“Overall this opened my eyes up to parts of the design process I had never thought about and I found it incredibly helpful.”

“Great event. Looking forward to attending future sessions when we are further along.”

At least 6 more workshops are planned around New York State for 2020. Check our Events page periodically for updates.
