Dan Falkenstrom
Operations Director, Tech Valley Center of Gravity
Dan Falkenstrom is the Operations Director at Tech Valley Center of Gravity. As the Capital Region’s premiere makerspace & manufacturing incubator, TVCOG’s mission is to ensure equitable access to the resources, equipment, and education necessary to bring physical things to life. Dan started with TVCOG as a member and volunteer in 2013, and now leads their small staff in managing daily operations. In addition to developing the local maker community, he conducts numerous classes on equipment safety and digital fabrication for individuals, startups, and small manufacturers.
Always fascinated by taking things apart, learning how they work, and fixing them, he received a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from RPI, and subsequently spent several years in manufacturing engineering roles at Pratt & Whitney, Knolls Atomic Power Lab, and General Electric. He resides in Saratoga Springs, NY.
