Are you concerned about the cost and availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face shields, masks, gloves, goggles, and hand sanitizer? You’re not alone if you are. Across New York State, small-to-medium sized manufacturers are looking for better ways to find, buy, and maintain the PPE that they need to keep their employees safe, healthy, and productive.
Naturally, these manufacturers are working very hard. Unfortunately, some of them don’t realize that there’s an easier way to find PPE. It all starts with an on-line survey that takes less than 10 minutes to complete. This survey will help the New York Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NYMEP) to help manufacturers like you get the PPE that they need.
So, what’s 10 minutes of your time worth? As you calculate the answer to that question, consider that the responses that NYMEP receives will help manufacturers like you to:
- Forecast demand for PPE
- Maximize PPE usage
- Find and select PPE suppliers
- Buy PPE more effectively
NYMEP will also provide project subsidies to 10 NYS manufacturers or technology companies who are developing cleaning and sanitizing technologies to maximize PPE utilization. Grants under this program are not available for PPE purchases, which means you’ll still need to buy and maintain PPE out-of-pocket.
