NY invests in $220M in Clean Energy Projects

“New York is partnering with several private companies to invest up to $220 million in new clean energy and energy efficiency projects. The move, announced by Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Thursday, is part of the state’s effort to generate half of its electricity from renewable sources by the year 2030.”

Shipments to Wal-Mart, Home Depot, BMW drive Plug Power’s Q1 growth

“Plug Power’s CEO said growth in the first quarter was propelled by shipments to customers like Wal-Mart and Home Depot, as well as the company’s new financing program. The Latham, New York fuel cell manufacturer finished the quarter with revenues of $15.3 million and a loss of $11.8 million.”

“Aspiring student entrepreneurs at the University of Rochester presented their business models to a panel of judges during the 10th annual Mark Ain Business Model Competition on Wednesday.
