The Buffalo Milk-Bone manufacturing plant’s “zero-waste-to-landfill” achievement earned it the first-ever Sustainability Excellence and Employee Education Award from its parent company, Del Monte Foods. The Buffalo operation, which makes all Milk-Bone Original Dog Treats, sent 549 tons of waste to landfills as recently as 2007.
