As FuzeHub continues its development, we aim to become a one-stop-shop for all things manufacturing in New York State. As such, we can’t slight Manufacturing Technology. We hear about the President’s program to promote Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, and see that one such institute has already been formed in Ohio, the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute, charged with R&D to develop Additive Manufacturing (3-D Printing ) for the US. Our program intends to highlight what’s going on right here in New York, participating in National programs, hiring, training, creating jobs, all based on Manufacturing Technologies. In future editions of this page, we will be posting articles, doing blogs, all centered on Manufacturing Technologies.
For starters, I picked up this article last month from the Wall Street Journal, which describes the “HOT” manufacturing technologies: What’s Hot in Manufacturing Technology? This is a survey article, which depicts where the hot jobs are going to be in the next years, in Manufacturing Technology. We have all heard about jobs that are begging to be filled, but not because of the lack of qualified candidates. Here are those technologies looking for a few good candidates.
In future articles we will explore some of these, starting next week with a series on Additive Manufacturing. Take a look at this article, see what the future holds.
