As a statewide Manufacturing Extension Partnership Center, FuzeHub works with hundreds of manufacturers in New York State throughout the year. We pride ourselves in being one part of the enormous support network that fuels the backbone of manufacturing in the United States— MEP National Network.
Not surprisingly, when we received the recent MEP National Network impact results released on the Manufacturing Innovation Blog for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), we were energized to see the growth exhibited in the report. Among the noteworthy of statistics to come out of the report were results reported from manufacturing clients themselves, who have directly benefited from the support received from MEP center services.
In 2017, according to the report, the MEP National Network interacted with 26,313 manufacturers to create or retain 100,000 jobs; generate $12.6 billion in new and retained sales; achieve $1.7 billion in cost savings; and enable $3.5 billion in new client investments.
The report also shares some insights into the types of challenges manufacturers are facing, why manufacturers are choosing MEP, and the economic value of each federal dollar invested into the MEP National Network.
