GlobalFoundries Acquires 60 Acres from Tech Campus
“GlobalFoundries has acquired a 60-acre parcel from the Luther Forest Technology Campus in Saratoga County, New York. The computer chip manufacturer paid $1.2 million, or $20,000 an acre, to purchase 60 acres that straddle the Malta and Stillwater town line.”

IBM to Buy Live-streaming Startup Ustream for $130 Million
“IBM is buying live video stream provider Ustream to help sell more video services to clients including the National Football League, HBO and the Food Network, through its cloud platform. With the acquisition, International Business Machines Corp. will create a unit that combines Ustream’s services with related technologies including those from previous purchases: multi-device video delivery platform Clearleap, data storage seller Cleversafe and file-transfer software provider Aspera.”

STS Steel to Acquire Property in Schenectady, Will Remain Next to New Casino and Mohawk Harbor
“STS Steel is planning to purchase four acres from the Schenectady Industrial Development Agency that will allow the company to expand and continue operating next to the Galesi Group’s new Mohawk Harbor development. STS Steel makes large steel frames and parts used to build bridges, canal locks and buildings including the entranceways to Proctors theater in Schenectady, New York and the Times Union Center in Albany.”
