Athenex: From UB Lab Discovery to Job Generator
“University at Buffalo President Satish K. Tripathi today congratulated Athenex, a successful biotech company that began as a UB startup, on the unveiling today by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo of the state’s plans to build a $200 million high-tech manufacturing center for the company in Dunkirk.

SUNY Poly to Bring 900 New Jobs to Dunkirk with Drug Plant
“New York will spend $200 million to build a plant for Buffalo-based biotech firm Athenex in Dunkirk. The investment is the latest expansion of Albany-based SUNY Polytechnic Institute’s model of public-private partnerships. Athenex is a developer and manufacturer of specialty cancer drugs that has grown rapidly in recent years after it emerged from a University of Buffalo lab.”
