CMMC Clarity Starts Here: Meet Us in Utica

CMMC

Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is no longer something that manufacturers in the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) supply chain can ignore. There’s a problem, however. Companies are confused about which requirements apply to them. Between the acronyms, jargon, and conflicting advice, what does the DoD’s final CMaMC rule mean for your business?

That confusion is exactly why FuzeHub, OrbitalFire Cybersecurity, and the Advanced Institute for Manufacturing (AIM) are hosting Don’t Panic: A Plain-English Crash Course on CMMC for DoD Manufacturers. This half-day, in-person workshop is designed to provide the CMMC clarity that manufacturers need to keep the contracts they have and be able to compete for new opportunities.

Join us on Wednesday, March 18th from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) ThINCUBATOR at 326 Broad Street in Utica, New York. Get rid of the fear and the noise and find out what you need to do. The cost is free and lunch is provided, but space is limited. Register today.

Why You Can’t Wait

Late last year, the DoD’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) announced that “no CMMC audits or certifications will be required until 11/10/2026.” That means manufacturers have time, but not as much as they think. There are only 72 organizations in the world that are authorized to perform CMMC Level 2 assessments. If you wait to act, you could be waiting in line when November 10th arrives.

The challenge isn’t just about timing. It’s about clarity. Do you really need to comply with CMMC Level 2, or is Level 1 sufficient?  Today, many manufacturers are getting conflicting advice from primes, IT providers, and consultants. Some are being told to overhaul systems unnecessarily. Others are underestimating what’s required. Too many simply don’t know where to begin.

This workshop was created to solve these challenges.

A Workshop Made for Manufacturers

The Don’t Panic workshop is intentionally designed for small and mid-sized manufacturers who want practical guidance without fear-based messaging or unnecessary complexity. Forget the scare tactics, jargon, and upselling. During this half‑day workshop, cybersecurity experts from AIM and OrbitalFire will speak plainly and show you what CMMC requires – and what it doesn’t.

You’ll also learn where manufacturers typically get stuck and what “being ready” really looks like. Many companies hit the same roadblocks, and too many confuse readiness with perfection. You’ll also learn how to avoid overspending, listening to the wrong advice, and overengineering solutions. There will also be a discussion of grants and budgeting strategies that can help you to pay for CMMC.

When this workshop ends, you’ll leave with your questions answered, a list of actionable next steps, and clarity in place of confusion.

What You’ll Walk Away With

This workshop is designed to give you:

  • A clear understanding of what CMMC requires and what it does not
  • Insight into where manufacturers commonly get stuck
  • Practical next steps to move forward with confidence
  • Answers to your specific questions during an interactive discussion

If you want clarity, confidence, and a realistic path forward, this workshop is the most valuable three hours you can invest in your CMMC readiness this year.

Space is limited. Register now to secure your seat.
