Buffalo Business First – A report from the National Association of Purchasing Management-Buffalo indicates that manufacturing is on the upswing in Western New York. The July index was 61.4, compared to 53 in June.  “According to this report, there’s been expansion or growth in local manufacturing,” said Benjamin Rand, president of Insyte Consulting, which provides business management and consulting services to the manufacturing industry. He added it’s been four months straight of growth, and at a level at or above the national average. More
