James “JD” Daniel
Director, Supplier Diversity | Alstom
James “JD” Daniel has been with Alstom for eight (8) years. JD is currently serving as the Buy America, Buy Canada, and Supplier Diversity Director within Alstom’s Americas Procurement organization. In this role, JD is responsible to define and support the Alstom strategies to meet Buy America, Buy Canada, and Supplier Diversity. These strategies help ensure Alstom’s alignment with U.S. and Canadian rules and regulations for all Tenders and Projects. JD enjoys this role as it is beneficial to Alstom and our customers, and also to the Region in helping to create jobs and support vital infrastructure projects.
Before assuming his current role in 2020, from 2018 to 2020 JD was the Site Procurement Director in Hornell, NY at the Rolling Stock and Components (RSC) manufacturing sites. Prior to Hornell and RSC, from 2014 to 2017 JD led the Supply Chain team within the Alstom Signaling business and was located in Grain Valley, MO. Before joining Alstom, JD held various roles of progressive responsibility in the Manufacturing, Procurement, and Supply Chain functions in the Oil & Gas industry, with firms such as Dresser, Weatherford, and Halliburton.
