Mark Walluk is an Engineering Manager at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), where they lead research, development, and engineering initiatives supporting both commercial and defense applications. They also serve as a senior technical resource for RIT’s Center of Excellence in Advanced and Sustainable Manufacturing, helping startups and established organizations bring innovative products from concept to reality through design assessment, prototyping, testing, instrumentation, finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics, and technology road mapping.

With more than 19 years at RIT, Mark brings extensive experience in product development, advanced manufacturing, and applied engineering. Prior to joining RIT, Mark worked at General Dynamics Electric Boat, managing engineering projects related to nuclear propulsion systems for next-generation naval vessels and supporting submarine overhaul programs. Mark also served as an engineer at UTC Power, contributing to the development of undersea proton exchange membrane fuel cell power systems.

Mark holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and has authored publications in leading technical journals and organizations, including ASME, SAE, International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, and Energy & Fuels.
