Build4Scale NY: What's coming in 2020 - Training, Funding, Expertise

Have you developed a new hardware product or technology that could potentially help thousands of people or businesses? Whether you’re still testing out your prototype or are ready to ramp up production, you know that the path to success always has some unforeseen challenges and being prepared is crucial.
That’s why we’ve expanded our Build4Scale NY program for 2020, which last year helped train 130 early stage hardware innovators and manufacturers throughout New York State, provided $60,000 in project funding, and established $175,000 in contracts with US-based supply chain manufacturing companies.
Join our webinar on January 8, 2020 to learn about the four key elements that make up this new membership-based program and help companies commercialize their products more quickly and efficiently:

  • Training: Learn how to improve your product’s design and manufacturability, and how to speak the manufacturing “language” when communicating with contract manufacturers.
  • Expertise: All training sessions will be attended by subject-area experts who will help you identify and work through potential product issues.
  • Resources: FuzeHub has access to New York State’s largest network of vetted resources to help small and medium sized manufacturers overcome challenges to growth.
  • Funding: Learn how to find and apply for funding, and better prepare for investor presentations. As a bonus, program members will have access to exclusive funds of up to $10,000 each!

The session will be presented by Eric Fasser who leads the Build4Scale NY program for FuzeHub. Eric has over 20 years of experience in product development roles for manufacturing companies across different industries. His background includes a degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA in marketing, allowing him to discuss products from both a design and commercialization viewpoint. With a wealth of manufactured product experience, Eric will provide examples of past successes and lessons learned from failures, with valuable take-aways you can apply to your own products.
FuzeHub, the statewide Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) center for New York State, is offering this webinar as part of a series in our Build4Scale NY program, which covers product development topics important to New York State manufacturers who want to learn more about commercializing their products.
