Podcast: Sewing Success with Mozaic

Mozaic is a non-profit organization that provides services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Cayuga, Seneca, and Yates counties. As part of its mission, this social enterprise operates Finger Lakes Textiles, maker of sewn products such as Artic Gear™ winter hats. These items are made in Waterloo, New York by an inclusive workforce that consists of individuals with and without disabilities.

Allen Connely, Chief Executive Officer at Mozaic, recently spoke with New York State Manufacturing Now about the organization’s manufacturing capabilities, defense contracting, and work with startups. The conversation also covered New York State’s support for Mozaic, which includes a FuzeHub grant to accelerate face mask production for the ongoing fight against COVID-19.
