Elena Garuc is the Executive Director of FuzeHub, New York State’s newest Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP Center). For over a decade, Elena has championed economic development initiatives and major marketing programs. In 2012, she was named to the Albany Business Review’s “40 Under 40”, a prestigious group of up-and-coming business leaders in New York’s Capital Region. Before joining FuzeHub, Elena served as Director of Communications and Marketing for the Center for Economic Growth (CEG), the NYMEP center for the Capital Region. At CEG, she directed economic development initiatives and created successful programs such as an upstate venture capital forum, a biotechnology network, and a technology roadmap portal.
Today, Elena leads FuzeHub’s operations and works closely with its Board of Directors to realize strategic goals. As a FuzeHub founder, she has guided the organization from inception to implementation while growing its staff from two to fourteen employees and securing funding for the organization to work as a new MEP Center. Before becoming Executive Director, Elena shaped FuzeHub’s marketing strategy, brand, and nationally-recognized web-based portal. By connecting small-to-medium manufacturing enterprises with public and private resources, FuzeHub is helping to fuel economic growth.
A graduate of the College of Saint Rose, Elena holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing. She makes her home in Greene County, New York.
