Buffalo’s next Synacor or Liazon may come from a global business plan and start up competition that is offering a $1 million grand prize. The “43North” competition, formally announced Wednesday morning — but in the works for more than one year, is aimed at attracting the attention of entrepreneurs hoping to earn some of the $5 million allocated to bring cutting-edge start up companies to Buffalo.
