CYBERSECURITY
WORKSHOP

Cybersecurity Maturity
Model Certification

September 19, 2023 | 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Center of Excellence for Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT) Stony Brook University, 1500 Stony Brook Rd, Stony Brook, NY 11794

The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) has established a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) to protect information that the DoD shares with contractors and subcontractors.

This program is in addition to DFARS 252.204-7012, a cybersecurity clause that requires companies to implement NIST SP 800-171 for the protection of unclassified but confidential information.

Come and learn:

  • Why hackers are targeting manufacturers and what can happen if there’s a breach
  • How CMMC has different levels, and how CMCC relates to DFARS and NIST SP 800-171
  • When prime contractors and subcontractors need to maintain the same CMMC level
  • What will happen when CMMC 2.0 replaces the current CMMC 1.0 program
  • Who can answer your questions about CMMC, DFARS, and NIST SP 800-171
  • How to achieve the level of compliance that your organization needs

If you are a manufacturer that wants to protect your sensitive information, the time is now for cybersecurity!

Don’t wait to sign up. Companies that fail to achieve CMMC certification may be unable to bid on contracts.
