The Event:
New York State, with five awarded offshore wind projects in the Atlantic Ocean, totaling more than 4,300 megawatts, is leading the nation to deliver nine gigawatts of offshore wind by 2035. As part of our work in building New York’s offshore wind industry, please join us on December 8 in Buffalo for the New York Offshore Wind Supplier Forum.
NYSERDA will provide an overview of the critical investments in New York’s ports, the State’s comprehensive incentive framework, progress on local manufacturing facilities, commitments to building equity, as well as workforce development programs in this exciting industry. New York is the nation’s undisputed hub for this industry and the manufacturing of primary and sub-components.
This year’s forum will focus on the Wind Turbine Package – nacelle, rotor blades, and tower. Companies will have the opportunity to learn about the procurement process, qualifications as a supplier, and sub-components of each primary component. Additionally, suppliers will have the opportunity to engage one-on-one with Buyers of the Turbine package and other components.
