“A study published in May called 2015 Sense & Sustainability measured the public perceptions of corporate commitment to sustainability. The study, conducted by G&S Business Communications, looks at sustainability reputations by industry, how interested the public is in learning about the issues, how environmental and social causes affect consumer habits and brand choices and consumer confidence in basic scientific concepts.”

New York Slips A Spot In National Entrepreneurship Ranking

“New Yorkers might think we rank high when it comes to entrepreneurship. And we do. But not quite as high as we did last year. That’s the finding of the Kauffman Foundation, the Kansas City-based think tank that’s focused on startups and entrepreneurs.”

Capital Region Economic Development Group Asking IDAs For Cash Toward State Money Contest

“A group leading Albany, New York’s efforts to win $500 million in economic development money is asking industrial development agencies for cash to help pay for development plans. That money would be used to pay the $2 million tab to for hiring McKinsey and Co., the same big-name consultant Buffalo used to win $1 billion in state money to revive the city.”

Governor Cuomo Releases Report Detailing Property Tax Cap Success in New York

“Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today released a report (available here) detailing the success of the property tax cap in delivering tax relief for New York families and businesses. In addition, the Governor traveled to Nyack, New York in Rockland County to urge the State Legislature to extend the two percent property tax cap this legislative session.”
