Decorative, wall-mounted, wireless flat panel loudspeakers: In this project the Rochester Center of Excellence in Data Science is assisting New York State based Affext, LLC to bring its new audio reproduction technology from its current prototype phase into pilot production. This project is focused on the introduction of Affext’s first product, decorative, wall-mounted, wireless flat panel loudspeakers; however, the core audio reproduction technology can be applied to a wide array of platforms and markets ranging from home audio, to sound systems for commercial and public spaces and advertising, to hand-held devices and smartphones. Initial market identification activities also will be conducted in the project, including exhibiting Affext’s initial products at selected trade-shows.
