Chocolate Moulding Line Optimization Project: Processing of chocolate to its physical product form is traditionally done with hard stiff polycarbonate moulds. The curing and cooling processes needed before it can be packaged also require excess handling. Vigneri Chocolate Inc. recently installed the production line for solid bark products supplying Wegmans and other brands. Given the increase in orders an optimization of the processes are needed. The targeted optimization also provides new product innovations. This project is to optimize our solid chocolate moulding line process. It is estimated to result in: 25% increase in productivity 15% less scrappage Increase of product portfolio Job and training addition of three people Drive quality
