Get Stronger And Smarter In Syracuse This Summer

Join FuzeHub on Wednesday, August 11 for Strengthening New York’s Industrial Base, our first in-person event since COVID and a Manufacturing Forum for all of the links in the NYS supply chain for the U.S. Department of Defense. Whether you’re a prime contractor, a subcontractor, or a machine shop at the lowest-level tier, you’ll make face-to-face connections with business and technical resources that receive state, local, or federal funding to provide manufacturing-related assistance.

FuzeHub, the statewide New York Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NY MEP) center, is partnering with Train, Develop Optimize (TDO), Central New York’s regional NY MEP center, and with the Advanced Institute of Manufacturing (AIM), the Mohawk Valley’s regional NY MEP center, to bring you this half-day event. There is no cost to attend, but early registration is recommended to save your spot. Upon registration, attendees will be prompted to complete a COVID disclaimer.

Strengthening New York’s Industrial Base will be held at the Holiday Inn Syracuse/Liverpool (soon to be Ramada by Wyndham) at 441 Electronics Parkway in Liverpool, New York. The doors open at 8:30 am for a continental breakfast and the formal program begins at 9:00 am. FuzeHub’s Everton H. Henriques, NY MEP Solutions Director, is the Master of Ceremonies and will deliver the opening remarks. Jim D’Agostino, the CEO and Center Director for TDO, and Cory Albrecht, the Director of AIM, will also welcome everyone.

After sponsor addresses, a keynote speaker, and a manufacturing panel moderated by FuzeHub’s Steve Melito, host of NYS Manufacturing Now, manufacturer attendees will meet with individual resources. Through a series of one-on-one meetings, attendees can discover potential solutions to challenges in areas such as industrial automation, equipment financing, product design, workforce development, materials research, and manufacturing scale-up – just to name a few.

Among the resources you can meet is your local MEP center, the organization that has “boots on the ground” in your region and that provides services such as lean training and help with process improvements. You can also meet with Centers for Advanced Technology (CATs) and Centers of Excellence (COEs) that are based at leading universities across New York State. By working with academic talent, your company can find innovative solutions that remove obstacles to growth.

Strengthening New York’s Industrial Base will also provide manufacturers with opportunities to meet with organizations that promote economic development, exports, cybersecurity, sustainable manufacturing, pollution prevention, and the protection of intellectual property (IP). Although business networking is not the focus of this event, connections can and do happen at Manufacturing Forums. So, if you’re ready to make your business stronger and smarter this summer, register for this in-person event.
