LJUNGSTRӦM provides custom manufacturing solutions and has signed a contract with Riggs Distler & Company, Inc. to provide specialized structural steelwork for New York’s latest offshore wind project, Sunrise Wind. The wind farm joint development partnership between Ørsted and Eversource has the capacity to power nearly 600,000 homes with 100% renewable energy to help New York accomplish a carbon-free energy grid by 2040.

The CESMII Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center (SMIC) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) is creating an agile research, demonstration and learning environment centered around the RPI Manufacturing Innovation Learning Lab (MILL) to meet manufacturers where they are and help them accelerate adoption of and return value from Smart Manufacturing technologies and systems. The RPI SMIC has strong industry engagement experience and core competencies related to Smart Manufacturing, including advanced manufacturing and automation, robotics, sensing, modeling, optimization, controls, advanced data analytics, high-performance computing and scientific computation, and computational innovations such as AI and ML.
